I’m thrilled to announce that my first collection of short fiction, The World of Dew & Other Stories, has been selected as the winner of the 2020 Blue Light Books Prize. That means it will be published in 2021 by Indiana University Press. I’m over the moon!
Hal-Con Reading & Discussion Series

Y-Con – June 22
I’ll be giving a talk on “Publishing Sci Fi & Fantasy Stories” next weekend at Y-Con. Y-Con is Yarmouth’s inaugural sci-fi, gaming, and comics convention. I’ll be speaking in the Event Hall in the Rodd Grand Convention Center at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd.

The WFNS has invited me to teach a workshop on writing science fiction short stories – and I’m excited! I’ll be talking about developing ideas, world building, extrapolation, estrangement, and speculative language. I’ll also get into the business of selling sci-fi stories.
